Just thought I’d mention my MyFitnessPal streak milestone. I’m maintaining. MyFitnessPal has been very helpful for food and calorie tracking (exercise calories too), in addition to WFPB (whole food plant based) eating. As I like to say, calories count whether you count them or not.
While I did gain some weight during my 3 week trip to the U.S. (the breads there are delicious!) it wasn’t that bad. And when I got back to Japan my weight started coming down again naturally as I stuck to more whole foods rather than breads and other processed foods. I enjoy this way of eating.
I expect I’ll be back at where I was before I left in another week or 2. That would make it 3 weeks of wild-and-crazy bread and other vegan-no-oil-but-higher-calorie-density-foods and now back to normal.
Currently I’m about 5 lb higher than I was. But slipping back into my usual way (weigh) of eating was absolutely no problem at all.
