These were taken just before, while riding my bike along the Nakagawa. The moon was out, even though it was afternoon. I like the picture of the birds and moon behind the tree best.

It was very nice weather again today, and I took another bike ride along the river. This time near sunset. Here are a few photos I took with 2x optical zoom mode on my iPhone. Somehow the zoom makes them more dramatic. The middle photo shows the Katsushika city sports center.

Actually, they are right on the usual schedule. These photos were from today’s bike ride along the Nakagawa. Note how beautiful the weather is. It’s still a bit cold, but the skies were a brilliant clear blue.
And, for the first time this year, I actually see some of the buds in bloom. It’s still just a few, but it started.
The first photo just has buds, but I thought it looked nice against the sky.
It’s still pretty cold out, but other than that it’s a beautiful day, so I went cycling along the river this morning. As you can see, the cherry blossoms are still not at all in bloom. In fact, they don’t look much different from a week ago.
You can start to make out a bit of buds starting to turn green if you look close (you can click on photos to seem them larger).
The skies are a beautiful blue today.
Today is also the 4th anniversary of the big March 11th earthquake.
