March 11th sakura report from the Nakagawa
It’s still pretty cold out, but other than that it’s a beautiful day, so I went cycling along the river this morning. As you can see, the cherry blossoms are still not at all in bloom. In fact, they don’t look much different from a week ago.
You can start to make out a bit of buds starting to turn green if you look close (you can click on photos to seem them larger).
The skies are a beautiful blue today.
Today is also the 4th anniversary of the big March 11th earthquake.
Everything is stunted here. The snow just now melted. There’s just a little left. I hated freezing all these months. I really wanted to go to Holland for awhile! They usually only freeze in January. And then it’s in the 40’s. March and April then are in the 50’s and 60’s. I love it there!
See? I get my change of seasons, but Winter is a lot warmer! Well, no money for that. I’ll have to dream here at home.
When you take more pictures of your blooming Cherry Blossoms, take the same views and I’ll make a Painting of them! Seems like a good subject. How does that sound?
Anyway, I’m glad you are biking! That’s more than I do.
Will do. Sounds good! Thanks.
