Yo, Doug, these are lovely birds. What kind are they? And did they build the nest or did you? And don’t you think you should come back to tornado country? It’s better than nuclear earthquake tsunami country …. probably. By the time you get here it will probably be 900 degrees with 900% humidity, though.
Hi, Jeanette.They are Java Sparrows, also called Java Finches.I bought the nest at a pet store because they were ignoring the wooden nest box I originally tried.You can’t bring Java Sparrows with you into the U.S.!doug
As the family grows more room is needed. Is it big enough?
