Happy Vernal Equinox. The first day of spring is a national holiday here in Japan, and also our wedding anniversary. Hirokazu and I were married on the Vernal Equinox, 2024. I can’t believe two years have gone by.

I’ve included a couple of photos from just before our remote ceremony, legally licensed and certified in Utah County, Utah.

Everybody joins us and the wedding ceremony gets underway. Top row: Hirokazu and me, the officiant in Utah, the translator, and Lisa in New Jersey. Since the 2nd anniversary is “cotton” (apparently a U.S. thing), I got Hirokazu this “two years” shirt for the occasion.
