Two years later…
Happy Vernal Equinox. The first day of spring is a national holiday here in Japan, and also our wedding anniversary. Hirokazu and I were married on the Vernal Equinox, 2024. I can’t believe two years have gone by.
I’ve included a couple of photos from just before our remote ceremony, legally licensed and certified in Utah County, Utah.
On our wedding day, in 2024. Waiting for the officiant, witnesses and other friends to join us from Tokyo and the U.S.

Just before the wedding.

Everybody joins us and the wedding ceremony gets underway. Top row: Hirokazu and me, the officiant in Utah, the translator, and Lisa in New Jersey. Middle row: Cathy in Brookline, Satoh-san in Tokyo, Mika, Nelson, and their son David who were visiting Japan, and Marcia in Maine. Bottom row: Rosalie and Myles in NYC, and Sue in St. Lous. We already have a license from Utah. We show our IDs and the ceremony gets underway.

Since the 2nd anniversary is “cotton” (apparently a U.S. thing), I got Hirokazu this “two years” shirt for the occasion.

Two years.
Me too. (Something I often say 🙂)
We two.
Just the two of us (and Pao too) – and our friends and family – a nice Japanese cover…
