Today is a national holiday in Japan – Bunka no Hi (Culture Day). This morning I took a long route to the supermarket and walked through Shinkoiwa Park, near the station. They seemed to be having some sort of sports event.

On the way back I walked through Seseragi Park, the long, narrow park between the station and my house. There was still plenty of greenery. And it was quite warm. The fountains have already been turned off until spring though.
