Well, Chako is back. She ignored the food I left for her and scampered away to whatever fate awaits her.

I thought about trying to keep her on my veranda, but that wouldn’t work.

My neighbor and I also thought about leaving her by the park near the river, but decided she wouldn’t get any food there. And there is still one kitten mewling for her.

So we just let her loose like this.

One neighbor saw and sort of gave a dirty look, but politeness will probably prevent her from saying anything.
