It was extremely strange weather in Tokyo yesterday with this freak sandstorm, apparently blown over from China. These photos show the sky in my neighborhood on what was a bright, sunny day until the sand blew over. In addition to huge winds, I don’t think it was particularly safe. Most people wore masks but it still irritated eyes.

I hope it clears up today.
