Some incense for Mon-chan
I lit incense for Mon-chan, who is in the little box on the second shelf. I will take her to the Eko-in in Ryogoku on Sunday for cremation and a brief service. The Eko-in is an old temple going back about 400 years, and is where we did Hao’s cremation back in 2012.
The large box on the upper shelf contain’s Tao’s urn, and the little urn behind the box holding Mon-chan contains Hao’s remains.
Monta does, to my surprise, seem a bit lonely today, like he was looking for Mon-chan to have a squabble with. So I brought him into the office to hang out and he is crawling on my fingers as I’m trying to type this.
So sorry to hear about Mon-Chan. One of our birdies just passed away today. We felt that it was coming but that doesn’t make it easier. I hope it will be a nice day Sunday for Mon-chan’s service.
