Eerily normal in Tokyo
If you don’t listen to the news or watch the ceaseless humanitarian disaster 150 mi north of here, you would be forgiven to think it was almost a normal day in Tokyo today. There is a normal amount of activity outside. The supermarket will close just 3 hours early today to conserve power. Except for a few shelves, supplies seem to be much improved. They are limiting mineral water purchases to 2 per customer, but seem to have enough on hand. The trains are running better. There were aftershocks today, but they were weaker than yesterday. Most I couldn’t feel at all, and those I did feel were extremely light. I almost hate to turn on the news. doug
Hopefully things will continue to get better
