I visited Solamachi (sky town) at the Tokyo Sky Tree today. It was my first time ever to enter the Sky Tree since it opened last May. They have lots of interesting shops on the first few floors. And the weather was perfect today.

I like this tree in my neighborhood. I happen to pass under it every week or so, and it seems to have different personalities in different seasons and at different times of the day.

They’ve started tearing down the house next to the one that was built last year, two doors down. Today it’s mostly hammering and banging and a lot of shouting. It’s already bad, but it’s just going to get worse. And after that’s done, comes the construction of the new house.

It’s a four day weekend here, for Golden Week.

I hope everybody is having a good holiday. I myself just found out that there is a leak in my house in St. Louis. So, on the bright side, I guess I’ll have more tax deductions for repairs this year.

Mon and Monta couldn’t care less.
