Mon-chan finally let me sneak up on him or her with a camera and take some closeups!

Mon-chan really loves the hanging rings. Today he-or-she started using them as a swing!

While changing food this morning, Mon hopped into Hao’s cage and Hao didn’t seem to strenuously object:

I took a movie too and will upload it. I wonder if they are ready to live together now.

This one’s funny because with the red eye from the flash Mon-chan (who is the size of my finger, and very sweet and gentle) looks like some huge, scary monster.

Mon-chan is nothing if not persistent! Today he flew into Hao-chan’s cage and explored. Hao-chan stayed his distance. When Hao-chan flew out, Mon-chan followed. They even both sat together on my finger for a while – they were that close to each other. But Hao-chan still tries to jab at Mon-chan if Mon-chan sticks his head within a certain distance. But I think they are getting used to each other. Mon-chan definitely wants to be friends.

Even though he-or-she has only been here a few days, Mon-chan is very hand-tamed already, and even likes being petted! Take a look at the video.

He-or-she was terrified of the PhotoBooth shutter sound and started flying to different places in the room – the door ledge, the top of the curtains, etc. So I shut off the sound and manage to take a few photos. Then put Mon-chan back in the cage to recover.

Hao-chan and Mon-chan are definitely showing curiosity about each other.

Mon-chan’s training is coming along nicely. You can see how small he/she is in comparison with my finger.

And isn’t that a great close-up of Hao-chan?
